Dr. Linda Pollard is a committed visual artist who also lecturers in Creative Industries with Queensland University of Technology. Linda’s career has included senior marketing and advertising positions as well as concentrating on her visual arts practice and completing a Doctorate in Creative Industries.
Linda is a contemporary expressionist and her work is distinguishable for its energetic quality, her exploration of the materiality of paint through texture and colour and often includes collage, particularly found and discarded objects, utilising fragments from the past to imbue new life and fresh meaning.

One of the highlights of Linda’s visual arts practice has been for her ‘Circle of Friends’ painting, one of a series of her eighteen ‘Heroes of the Club’ works which was chosen by SLSA as a fitting representation and symbol for the SLSA Bequest Program.
